SUMMARY: The time is growing short...

Food is becoming a battle ground like no other: freedom, survival, fascistic take over of a once-free people (more or less, at least), corporate triumph over independent producers - it's all happening around food. And the mechanism is simple: a set of bills ostensibly devoted to "food safety" and "food security".

In essence, these bills are a sneak attack implementation of Codex Alimentarius. The Natural Solutions Foundation has been warning that organic farming and home growing, clean food and food freedom were under heavy attack. Here is the Mother of All Food Fascism Assaults and we still have some time to defeat it.

Congress often comes up with bad ideas. This is not just a bad idea: it is a catastrophically bad idea for health and freedom. In fact, it is nothing short of food tyranny and will kill not only organic farming, but lots of people as well, along with the entire private farming sector. Your own gardens are at risk as well.

I cannot urge you strongly enough to take action NOW (we have only a few days to create the urgent push-back needed to fend off this disastrous legislation. These are bad, deceptive and extraordinarily dangerous bills which make the eternal link between fascism and food crystal clear. But the bills are written in neutral, even calming tones. SUMMARY: Abolition by Regulation... the end of Food Freedom

I have devoted decades to the study and practice of regulatory law, dealing with the seemingly endless onslaught of United States government agencies like FDA, USDA, EPA, FTC and others to curb and deny our constitutionally and legislatively guaranteed freedoms. I have seen bad regulatory ideas come and (often, with sufficient push-back) go. But I cannot remember any time in my long legal career seeing such rapid, and, if left unchecked, cataclysmic regulation for fascism and loss of rights as in the food regulation proposed under the current bills to industrialize food with the National Animal Identification System, Codex Alimentarius and North American Union.

While the Obamists claim to be agents of "Change", that change is toward food fascism, not freedom. It is toward regulating food freedom into food crimes. It is toward making criminals of those who would control "their own seed and their own feed."

HR 875 and S 425 are not just bad bills (Congress comes up with those, usually at the behest of industry) all the time. They are much worse than that.

Tyrants inevitably seek to control food. Fascism and food are always linked.

Sometimes the link is who may have access to food - please the tyrant and you eat. Sometimes the link is more subtle: the tyrant wants you ill so that you cannot resist because you are weak and distracted by illness....

So HR 875 and S 425 will "protect" us out of our birthright to clean, unadulterated food grown by those who would produce such natural bounty. Instead, food will be chipped, irradiated, contaminated, industrialized, genetically modified and demineralized to "protect" us from independence, from health, from autonomy and self-sufficiency.

As you know, the Natural Solutions Foundation has been cautioning against these very developments for years. We have warned that the patterns were being established through the globalists' toy, Codex Alimentarius, for many decades....

SUMMARY: You know what it takes to make change...

YOU ARE VERY MUCH NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathy here. I am the lady who answers emails for NSF. Recently, I received an email from a person which surprised me more than most! She apparently thought that we have a big switchboard of operators who answer questions and solicit donations. She must have had us mixed up with some other organization, because we do not have the money for a switchboard of phone lines and we have never solicited monies by phone. She implied that we have a big fancy office where people answer mail and organize events. While I think that would be lovely, the fact is that less than a dozen people are putting in the time necessary to keep this operation running. I am the person answering emails and I do it
from my kitchen table.

NSF is the largest health freedom organization in the world. Hundreds of thousands of health freedom advocates read our emails, alerts and send messages to Congress through these mailings. When we visit the Capitol, our name is recognized. It costs a minimum of about $12,000 per month to maintain
this organization. We pay for websites and a webmaster and researchers; we pay the company that maintains our lists; we pay for each of those eblasts that are sent to Washington (and we send many!); we pay the trainfare/travel fare to Washington; we pay for informational videos; and most important, we pay for trips to Codex meetings which occur several times a year in different
parts of the world. We do this on a shoestring budget, as inexpensively as we can. Because we do this, we are able to keep our readers up to date on health freedom issues and organized to fight the Powers that would destroy your health.

The problem? We are not bringing in enough in donations to cover our costs. You say, "How can that be? With so many people on your list, getting your emails, you should be taking in lots of money, every month!" The fact is, most people (over 98% of our readers) contribute absolutely no money to this effort. Oh they are happy to join in on eblasts (and we are glad that they
do!) and they are happy we are here making sure that they can continue to purchase nutrients, and they want us to win this health freedom war-- but they want their neighbors to pay for it. We know there are many of you out there who are having severe financial problems. We have people who pledged as
little as $5.00 a month, who now cannot afford that amount, given the economy. We understand- and do not expect those in such positions to donate. But there are many out there who can afford to donate the monies necessary to keep this battle going, ---and donations to us are tax deductible, another incentive for giving.

Now there are those who would love to see NSF fail. There are FDA/Big Pharma owned Congressleaches who would be happy if we stopped sending them messages.There are certain big companies who would love it if there were no well
organized opposition to their plans. But we intend to keep at this as long as we possibly can - with YOUR help. So make that contribution today- and, if you can, make it monthly! If only 12,000 of you each sent $1.00 a month, we could pay our bills. If more is sent, we can do more! We would love to be able to place advertising to reach more of the general public with the health
freedom message! This will cost money!

I am getting letters every day, from Scandinavia, Holland, Germany,-- places where parts of Codex are already being adopted and people are having troubl getting the nutrients they want. A woman from Holland informed me that she ordered nutrients from the U.S. but they were promptly seized by customs. She managed to get a few items from England, but she is not sure how long she will be able to do that. When she complains to politicians, she is told that she
should get her nutrients from the foods she eats. Of course, if humanity loses this battle, that food will all be gm and toxic. It is obvious, at Codex meetings, that the U.S. representatives are pushing the hardest to make Codex
regulations, standard worldwide. Will you and your's be able to live on a diet of toxic fake food? Will you be able to get buy without the supplements necessary for good nutrition??

Quick and Critical: Here's What's Happening Right Now on the Health Freedom Front

It's 4:21 AM and I have to leave in about 4 hours to fly to Washington DC where the Natural Solutions Foundation will continue our efforts to focus Congress on what they must do to preserve your access to natural health options and stop the Codex threat dead in its tracks. That takes lots and lots and lots of meetings, return visits, careful documentation and a meaningful solution to each of the problems we identify for Congressional staff.

Every time we walk into an office on Capital Hill, it is because of your emails to Congress that we have a voice which Congress can hear. Hundreds of thousands of your emails are making a noise that Congress is beginning to pay attention to. So, before I tell you what's up on the Health Freedom front, please take a moment to take these Action Steps to keep the pressure up.

First:
Support Ron Paul's vitally important Health Freedom Protection Act. Mother and son back Together.. for now.
Last week we emailed our list to let you know about the 17 year old boy, cured of cancer by natural means, who had been taken from his home by the California agency supposedly responsible for the welfare of children was forcefully vaccinated and placed in foster care. His mother, presumed to be guilty of "medical neglect", was taken to a maximum security prison for 5 days where her neck and shoulder were injured by the jailers.

Protesting this assault on her son, and the threat of his having to undergo chemotherapy and surgery for a disease he no longer had, his mother sought the protection of the Court.

Although both mother and son have been reunited they are under Court order not to discuss the case pending a hearing on October 4, 2007. To support her fight and legal fees directly click here.

FDA Has Been Playing With Your Food
The FDA has been downgrading and degrading your food for a long time. It's not just E. coli. It's poisonous additives like Aspartame (wherever its introduced brain tumors go up 10% in a year and stay up until it's banned). It's dangerous hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats which cause diseases and deaths that are completely unnecessary. It's genetically modified foods that have NEVER been tested for safety by the FDA even though independent science shows how dangerous they are. It's fluoride in your water, sprayed on your foods and added to health aids like toothpaste despite the cancer-bone-and-tooth-disease-endocrine-poisoning impact of the deadly stuff. It's allowing cold cuts and hot dogs to be sprayed with a poorly tested virus class (phage) instead of protecting us from it. It's colors and flavors permitted in foods children eat which cause neurological disorders in them. It's assaulting your right to access dietary supplements in every which-a-way it can find. It's raiding manufactures of legal supplements and breaking up their factories and warehouses without a warrant using FDA Marshals with guns and dogs and axes. It's raiding natural doctor's offices using the same Marshals and guns and dogs - without a warrant. It's endless. The FDA cannot do a credible job of regulating our food because the sicker we are the better the other side of the house, the drug regulatory side, likes it.

Well, this week we'll be visiting with Congressional staff again to push the idea that the FDA is not protecting us (which is why a recent survey says that 75% of Americans no longer trust it to protect their health and food). We will be asking for Congressional hearings on divesting the FDA of its food responsibilities. We will also be explaining how the FDA folks go off to Codex, push through pro-industry measures that are health-hostile and then come home to the US where they issue Guidances and regulations to enforce them because Codex approved them.

Congress, in general, has no idea. But they know how popular health freedom is and they know how unpopular the FDA has become so it is a win-win for them. Your emails make all the difference. IF you keep the pressure up, they listen to what we are saying. Slack off and they will ignore us. It is really up to you.

We will be meeting with people inside these government organizations who have information to share.

We will also be doing a health freedom event with Ralph Fucetola, JD, in Fairlawn New Jersey on September 19, 2007. Next, we'll be taping in Manhattan for a new documentary (not ours) being made by Gary Null and then on Friday, we'll fly to Las Vegas where I will open the Nevada Homeopathic and Integrative Medicine Conference with a talk on why we must all get activated in defending our health freedom before it is only a sad and tragic memory. Then we are off to Bangkok to meet with people about applying low tech, high impact crop enhancement techniques to increase crop yield without any chemicals whatsoever and how to apply this to farming communities there as part of the Natural Solutions Foundation International Decade of Nutrition.

Dear Health Freedom Fighters:

Wow what a great weekend with the family! I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend and the joys of getting together with family and friends. Let us all consider it the calm before the Storm!

We could not have done it without YOU! Thank you so much for your tireless attempts to get your message across to your congressmen and women!!! Many had never even heard of Codex. Many were appalled as we all are. It was amazing to see how many doors were open to our message of hope. The Unalienable Right to choose what is right for our own health and well being.

Progress continues with conference calls all this week and next week. The Natural Solutions Freedom Team will be heading back to Washington, DC in about 2 weeks for another round of meetings. A short window to spread the message of Health Freedom and encourage co-sponsorship of Congressman Ron Paul's Health Freedom Protection Act. Congress needs to know that if they support Health Freedom, voters will know they care and stood up to Big Pharma. It has come to our attention that the FDA is rejecting your comments again!
We are working to solve this problem to make YOUR VOICE HEARD! We are all hoping and praying that the FDA will listen and stop targeting WE THE PEOPLE instead of Big Pharma. We will be sending instructions for comments shortly... keep your mouse ready!

On this day of rest and prayer, please reflect on how important this fight is to yourself, your children, family and friends. For myself, I look at my beautiful children and know that I must fight for their health and well being. Who will protect their health and well being? Who will make sure they they have the nutrition they so sorely need in today's depleted food supply. And what of other children whose parents are oblivious to the dangers omnipresent?

Sure, we are aware and focused on the enemies of our health. Others may not be as capable or even able to take on another battle in todays embattled society. We are being attacked on so many fronts. Economy, jobs, health and even the freedoms many take for granted. How many times have we asked ourselves, "if only people knew." We tell our family, friends and neighbors. We tell strangers who give us that blank stare. We tell that upwardly mobile, organic food shopper who promises to get involved after they finish their latest Pilates workout or their next Botox injection. When all along the rug is getting pulled out from under them.

We must be the guardians of our societies and DEMAND the freedom to choose, as free adults. We may be the minority but let us be a very VOCAL minority! Let us sound the alarm! We CAN make change happen. We the people have more power than most realize! One person can change the world. BE that one person!

As the Media Director for the Foundation, I see so much passion and support you've given for the health battles we face. Many of those working within the Foundation donate their time, efforts and even much of their life savings. However, without your support, we could not have made it this far. No mistake about it. YOU are being noticed! Hundreds of thousands of messages to Congress and the FDA get noticed. That's why the language protecting supplements stayed in the new FDA law pending in Congress.

The next few weeks are critical. And here is why: Our Counsel Ralph Fucetola's last trip to DC - two weeks ago - proved to us that legislators, whether conservative or liberal (and I am thinking here of a certain Freedom Fighter from Texas and a certain well-known Senator from New York) are ready to tackle the FDA as a run-away agency that can't keep food safe. We believe Congress may be ready to liberate Foods from the "Food" and Drug Administration! We believe pressure from you got us this far, and more pressure from you will get us all the way!

The battle has gone on for many years and many of us are battle weary. However, the Foundation has won many key fights and continues relentlessly in the pursuit of our health freedom. While some legislators are busy cowtowing to Big Pharma, many more would appalled by the stealth activity that would rob our health freedom. Quick Update on Meetings

As you probably know, the 30th Codex Alimantarius Commission (CAC) Meeting ended yesterday. With countries fighting over tiny changes in the final report, the session reached the point of absurdity very quickly except for one item:

Fourteen countries registered their reservation (i.e., disagreement) with the decision of the CAC on a particular item. They disagreed so strongly, in fact (and here is the important part) that their leader, Columbia, stated that because so many nations disagreed with the decison THEY DID NOT BELIEVE IT REPRESENTED A CONSENSUS.

Why is that important? Because phony consensus, driven by pre-ordained outcomes which the Chairmen of the committees and the CAC itself, are the rule of the day in Codex. Unless and until blocs of nations begin acting together to protest and prevent this phony consensus, Codex will continue to ride rough shod over the rights and needs of the nations of the earth who get in the way of the Multi National Corporations and their lackeys.

That can happen. And that is why the Natural Solutions Foundation spends so much time working with, educating, and supporting developing nations in exactly this process.

Overheard at Codex

Presented without comment: At the conclusion of the recent CAC meeting a two days ago in Rome a member of the US delegation was calling together all of the Codex Committee Charmen and women and announcing to them that there would be a several day meeting in October, clearly at the pleasure of the United States. They were not very happy, based on what I was hearing, since the dates were not convenient for them. That did not seem to matter very much to the US representative.

I found that fascinating.

Codex: No Time for Discussion,

Plenty of of Time for Chit Chat

In my first Codex report from the 30th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (July 2-7, 2007) here in Rome I noted with astonishment the brazen disregard for the procedures and pruposes for which Codex was (allegedly) been created. Those of us who understand the real game know that the format and words do not represent the real text. Still, up until this Codex meeting, at least the forms have been observed. This meeting, however, has really been different.

Two days ago there was no time to discuss any matter of substance, any decisions made by any of the Codex committees, no issue pertaining to the food (and therefore the lives) of the world's eaters. Instead, every decision was rushed through without discussion, dissent or question. Hurry, hurry! Otherwise we will not finish our agenda items. Hurry, hurry! Otherwise you delegates will not have a free day on Friday before the final session on Saturday! (Note: Say, what? Come again?)

So imagine our surprise when, relegated though we were to the hot upper reaches of the 4th Press Gallery of the Food and Agriculture Organization Penary Session Room when the discussion became positively languid. Somehow the leadership of Codex found the time to spend (literally) HOURS on a 'discussion' of how important it is to have a continuing relationship with the International Organization of Animal Safety (OIE). On and on went the comments, but they were all of a piece: Country after country enthused about how important that relationship is to food safety. And then another identical comment, another and another and... another!

Then WHO and FAO (Codex' parent organizations) agreed. Then the Vice Chair said that it would be important to have a formal relationship and the Codex Secretariat and WHO and FAO said that relationship would be between WHO, FAO and IOE and then around again.

There was time for this leisurly conversation but no time to discuss the real work of Codex. Or, perhaps, this distortion of objective IS the real work of Codex. Hmmmmmm. What do you think?

No multinational corporation's ox was gored by this song of praise to institutional collaboration but many of them would have been gored by delegates questioning the US' attempt to make sure all food is irradiated, GM food is unlabled, pesticide residues are either vacated (first day, no time for discussion) or accepted, including levels for those substances banned by the 2001 Stockholm convention because they are too toxic for use on this planet. No time to talk about the Codex definition of advertising which can be used as a blanket prohibition against truthful informaiton on health benefits of food.

No time to ask questions about sugar in baby foods or the fact that although, because of our documetation, the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses banned fluoride in the formula for healthy babies, the US sneaked it in at the very end of the discussion in the formulas of sick (and thus, more vulnerable babies).

No time to question why stevia is not a permitted substance (although some Latin American nations tried again today and were slapped down for it pretty hard). No time to ask why baby food and weaning foods have such high levels of salt and sugar.

And certainly no time for anything like the World Health Organization's Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and Health which Codex is supposed to implement but which, somehow, neither the Canadian-led Codex Committee on Food Labeling (into whose report South Africa's contributions were inserted, meaning that they were to have been presented here today) nor Dr. Grossklaus' Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses seems to have been able to find a way to implement in the two years since they were ordered by WHO and FAO to do so.

After that, WHO and FAO rather lamely, I thought, reminded the Codex Commission that every Codex Committee could find ways to implement the Global Strategy. Yeah. Right.

So what's the good news? Contact. Despite the very best efforts of the Codex folks to keep us segregated, we have been able to make the sorts of contact that we came here for.

Developments are unfolding that will lead to more trips and more meetings with major leaders who are NOT happy about all of this. The Codex Two Step Process is receiving a level of listening that it has not had yet. The worse, the more dictatorial and obvious the Codex process becomes, the better it is for health freedom!

More delegates and more leaders, more consumer advocates and more consumers are 'getting it'. And, with that understanding, of course, comes a hunger for the solution. That's the Codex Two Step Process.

A Roman Moment

A quick traveler's note: I was in the Rome Metro on the way back to the hotel after the meeting with General Stubblebine. I felt something at my hip and looked down to see a hand that did not end in my wrist in my pocket. (Rome is famous for this, unfortunately.) Since all I had was a sheet of homeopathic lozenges and a used tissue, the person sharing my pocket quickly averted his eyes and stepped off the train at the station we had reached no richer (or healthier) than before he explored my pocket!

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!

You know you are on the right path in the Health Freedom Battle when Codex tries to neutralize you! That's what happened today at the annual Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) meeting here in Rome. Imagine! The Natural Solutions Foundation is, apparently, such a threat to Codex that they changed the rules and regulations to keep us away from anyone we could influence!

YES! Validation City!

THEN AND NOW:

MINGLE VS. ISOLATE

At all previous Codex meetings (including the 2005 CAC in the same building here in Rome) Public Observers have been welcome permitted to mingle with the delegates, sit in the meeting room, have lunch with participants, attend social and other events, etc. And we have been effective in using those precious moments to lobby for our positions (like successfully keeping fluoride out of formula for healthy babies despite the US' wishes), making connections, strategizing with health friendly nations, etc. Delegates introduce us to their health friendly colleagues in these mingle moments. We hand out material like Codex E-Books (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?page_id=220) and "Nutricide: the DVD" (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?page_id=156)

and tell people about the Codex Two Step Process. As you know, we've generated quite a lot of forward movement doing just that.

WHY DON'T THEY LIKE US?

But something there is that does not like our success! This year when we arrived at the FAO Building and signed for the CAC, in we learned that our Public Observer's pass (our usual status since Codex refuses to grant the Natural Solutions Foundation official "Observer" status - which would allow us to speak at Codex meetings!) now did not permit us to:

Enter the meeting room
Meet with Delegates
Enter the FAO lunch room
Attend any Codex functions

Instead, although the galleries on either side of the meeting room had plenty of empty seats, we were relegated to an upper press balcony where the temperature soon became unbearable. Our only company was 4 graduate students studying Codex (no press) and where there were no outlets for computer use. We did have simultaneous translation devices so it could have been a little worse, I guess.

THE FORCE

The Force, however, appears to be with us. Although Darth Vader and his minions tried to isolate and inactivate us, things worked out a little differently! Delegates who know and value our work sought us out, asked where we were and were appalled when we told them how conditions had been arranged to neutralize us.

You will understand why I cannot tell you which countries they represent, but people we had met in our travels came to us and asked for our input and help (which we, of course, were delighted to give). Some told us that they were looking for us because they were eager to continue our dialogue.

After one such interaction, we had a detailed, productive and highly focused 5 hour discussion about how to implement the Codex Two Step Process and reclaim natural agriculture in the countries concerned. We were asked to provide continuing and expanded support in those countries to help them move toward their goals of implementing the new health paradigm and true health freedom. Validation City, redux!

ONCE AGAIN!

So here is the bottom line: We ARE on the right track! Codex keeps confirming it for us:

In 2006 CAC Chairman Claude Moshe prevented us from sponsoring a delegate from his country. Validation County!

During the 2006 CAC meeting Moshe publicly attacked the Natural Solutions Foundation. Validation State!

This year the entire structure of participation at the Codex meeting was re-arranged so that we could not meet and mingle! Validation Nation!

More trips to more countries are emerging from today's interactions. Stay tuned. This year's CAC fun is just beginning.
